Abstract

The vast volume of radio and television programs, the diversity and breadth of language varieties in them, as well as the vastness of the audience, have resulted in language being expressed in a very broad, widely used, and diverse way in this media

Furthermore, the extent of this media's influence on the audience and its role and importance in their direct or indirect education have made it important to study the language of radio and television and its impact on various cultural and behavioral dimensions of the Iranian language community

The main issue of this research, which was conducted qualitatively and through in-depth interviews with experts, is to evaluate the current situation of the national media in preserving and teaching the Persian language and to provide expert suggestions with the aim of improving and promoting the position of the language in the media

According to experts, making the Supreme Council for Persian Language and Literature more active in the national media and preventing it from becoming a ceremonial and ineffective institution, institutionalizing the culture of preserving the Persian language, making macro-policies and determining the overall strategy and short-term, medium-term and long-term plans, believing in the key position of the national media in language planning and policy-making, the necessity of audience identification in language planning, and cooperation of academic and non-academic elites and intellectuals, along with cooperation with the Academy, are the most important ways to preserve the Persian language in the Iranian Broadcasting System
