This study examines the semiotics of the cover of a number of famous novels translated into Persian and seeks to make these signs and their relationship with the themes used in the novel text a tool for teaching a second language - especially Persian to non-Persian learners. Accordingly, the method presented can be used as a model in language teaching. In this way, by analyzing the visual signs on the back of the novel cover and its relationship with the content, in the first step, signs are learned as a universal tool accepted by all mankind. Then, with the learner's mastery of the novel's content, each of the visual signs on the novel cover can be analyzed as a common understanding, providing a way to teach internal states, colorology, mythology, beliefs in the target language, international signs, etc.The achievement of the present research is that first, the learner understands signs as international tools, then explores their equivalents in the target and source languages, and through this comparison, acquires various trainings. Also, the tools of this educational method include high mental retention among the audience and deep learning
