In general, research on issues in Persian language teaching, knowledge of learner needs, and analysis of learner wants could help planners and researchers in designing better instructional courses and in adoption of diverse and beneficial instructional approaches which ultimately would benefit learners of Persian language. In this regard, the experiences of instructors and people who have been in direct contact with learners of Persian language would be an invaluable asset.
Due to the comprehensiveness and breadth of language learning issues, it can be argued that teaching Persian to speakers of other languages is one of the broadest fields of research. Thus, knowledge of Persian language learning issues and production of significant valuable works in this regard could add to the dynamism in the field of research on Persian language teaching.
For the publication of “Journal of Teaching Persian to Speakers of Other Languages”, we have drawn on the cooperation and the knowledge and experiences of outstanding scholars and researchers in the field of teaching Persian language and related fields. The aim of this publication has been to enable access to the latest scientific advances, developments, and innovations in the field of language teaching. Thus, for the promotion and development of research culture, giving direction to scientific research, and facilitation of transfer and exchange of effective experiences and achievements in the field of Persian language teaching, the journal intends to standardize the structure of the articles to the extent possible.
For this purpose, the authors’ guide has been prepared and updated and is available to respected scholars. With due respect to all the scholars and colleagues and acknowledgment of the worth of their research, in case the authors of an article do not fully adhere to the authors’ guide the journal will be excused from sending the article for review. This measure is taken to avoid unnecessary delays in the publication of articles.
